Melissa has over 8 years experience of marketing TV shows and channels to the sometimes hard to reach audiences.  She's constantly challenged with finding out how youth audiences are consuming music and what they want from Music TV.  She's worked on repositioning Q as proper music telly and launched award winning new propositions like 4Music which combines humour and the best of the mainstream music genres, videos and programming from the rich C4 catalogue. As trends come and go it's about tapping into that trend for say Electro pop, and curating it in a unique and entertaining way.  Offering choice, so continuing to invest in rock brands like Kerrang! Is vital particularly when your connecting with the ipod generation who's music tastes expand to over 15 genres.   As platforms converge and young people are multi-screening, it's hackneyed and cliched but content still reigns king.
